JKBOSE Releases Class 12th Date Sheet for Annual Regular 2025 Exams – Download Here
Srinagar, Oct 8: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has officially released the date sheet for Class 12th Annual Regular 2025 examinations for students of Kashmir Province, which also includes District Kargil of Ladakh Union Territory. The much-awaited schedule has finally brought clarity to thousands of students who have been waiting anxiously for confirmation of their exam dates.
According to the official notification issued by the Joint Secretary (Examinations), the examination for Class 12th students will begin from November 8, 2025, and continue through the first week of December. All papers will start at 11:00 AM sharp across designated centers in every district of Kashmir and Kargil. The Board has advised students to reach their centers well in advance to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
The exam schedule begins with a common paper General English for all faculties including Science, Arts, Home Science, and Commerce on November 8. The Board has maintained its traditional pattern of starting with the English paper, which gives students a balanced start to their final examination session.
After English, the next major paper will be held on November 12, which includes Physics for Science students, History and Public Administration for the Arts stream, and Business Mathematics for Commerce students. Students of Home Science will appear for their Human Development paper on the same day. These subjects are usually considered core components of their respective streams, and the early scheduling will help students distribute their preparation evenly for the later exams.
The date sheet further mentions that on November 15, Science students will take Geology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry, while Arts students will appear for language papers such as Urdu, Hindi, Kashmiri, Punjabi, Dogri, and Bhoti. The Commerce stream will have its Business Studies paper on the same day, marking another crucial point in the mid-phase of the examination.

As per the timetable, the Biology (Botany/Zoology) paper will be held on November 18, while students from the Arts stream will appear in Political Science or Statistics. For Commerce students, Accountancy will be conducted on the same day. Following that, Chemistry will take place on November 24, alongside Arabic, Persian, Sanskrit, and Economics for Arts students. Students from Home Science will appear for Clothing for the Family, and those in Commerce will write Entrepreneurship or Economics papers.
The Mathematics and Applied Mathematics exams are scheduled for November 27. On this date, Arts students will sit for Sociology, while Home Science students will appear for Extension Education. Later, on November 29, papers such as Geography, Psychology, Music, Philosophy, and Education will be conducted. This will mark the end of the major theory papers before the vocational subjects begin.
Vocational and skill-based subjects have been scheduled from December 1, which include a wide range of streams such as IT & ITeS, Security, Retail, Healthcare, Tourism & Hospitality, Agriculture, Media and Entertainment, Beauty and Wellness, Physical Education & Sports, Telecommunication, Plumbing, Electronics & Hardware, Automotive, Apparels Made Ups & Home Furnishing, and Power. These subjects aim to provide students with industry-specific knowledge and hands-on understanding, aligning with the National Education Policy’s focus on skill development.
The final round of exams will be conducted on December 3, which includes subjects like Computer Science, Information Practices, Environmental Science, Functional English, Physical Education, Islamic Studies, Electronics, Vedic Studies, Buddhist Studies, Food Technology, and Travel, Tourism and Hotel Management. This marks the conclusion of the Annual Regular 2025 session for Class 12th students under JKBOSE.
Officials from JKBOSE have assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the exams across Kashmir and Kargil. “Strict monitoring mechanisms will be in place at every exam center. Schools have been instructed to maintain proper discipline and ensure fair conduct throughout the examination period,” a senior official from the Board said.
This year’s examination will be held under the new syllabus relaxation scheme, which the Board announced earlier this month. Under this relaxation, students appearing in Class 10th, 11th, and 12th exams have been granted a 15% relaxation in syllabus coverage. This means students will be required to attempt only 85% of the question paper, which will be considered equivalent to the full paper marks. The decision was taken after prolonged discussions with education authorities and was seen as a relief for students who faced academic disruptions due to heat waves and extended vacations during the summer session.
Students across Kashmir have expressed a sense of relief after the release of the final schedule. For many, the clarity has allowed them to plan their final revision strategy more effectively. Teachers, too, have welcomed the decision and urged students to utilize the remaining time wisely. Several coaching centers have already begun intensive revision sessions to help students perform their best in the upcoming exams.
The Board has also advised students to regularly visit the official JKBOSE website for any updates or changes to the schedule. Additionally, the Board has cautioned against relying on unofficial social media posts or forwarded date sheets, urging students to verify all information directly from authentic sources.
